How do ya like them apples!! Day 10

Wellesley Apple Butter and Cheese Festival

Yesterday I visited the Apple Butter and Cheese Festival which takes place on the last weekend in September every year in Wellesley, Ontario. The weather was perfect!
Congratulations to Wellesley volunteers and the many other supporters of this event who all came together to raise money for the town, whether it is used for major projects such as buying parkland or just installing new floors in the hockey dressing rooms. With all the donations, volunteering, and planning that goes into this action packed day, it was a huge success!
As I was passing the line for the apple fritters, I overheard a little boy explaining to his father,“Why wouldn’t anyone not want to come here“! I couldn’t have not said it better myself 🙂

Day 8 Arrow Lofts Kitchener, Ontario

Our office at Remax Twin City Realty received a private invitation to be the first to experience the Arrow Lofts located at 112 Benton Street, Kitchener Ontario. Of course I jumped at the chance to see this shirt factories transformation, as this building has remained vacant for many years.
I am going to share my experience with you through this video….take it away Harry Connick Jr.!!

Day 7 Herrle’s Country Farm Market

Just heading West down Erb Sreet Waterloo yesterday, past the round-about at Ira Needles. To my left and to my right, all I can see is the largest commercial centre in the Twin Cities that spreads all the way across from Kitchener to Waterloo. There is a Sobey’s, Wal-Mart and I’m sure, lots of other food related stores to choose from. If you choose to keep driving straight through for another 2 kms down Erb street and on the left you will see a market. With all the pumpkins displayed, kids playing on the wooden train playground and the cars coming in and out, you won’t be able to miss it!

I was surprised to see so many people here, as there are lots of other stores close by that put food on the table. These loyal customers must see the value in supporting a local business and appreciate fresh, home-grown produce. I’m also sure these people appreciate the feeling they get when shopping without the hundreds of flourescent lights shining down on you like in a big box store. Instead, you have timber beams that make up the barn-like structure and a large model train, making its way around the store on it’s tracks across the top of the roof beam.

Heelboy in Waterloo Town Square

Day 4
One of only 3 locations, we are lucky to have a Heelboy so close to home in uptown Waterloo Town Square. As you look for your new pair of uggs or wellies, you will find the customer service in this store exceptional!

guys…..
Although the Waterloo location doesn’t carry a mens line, this store should still interest you! After you’re in the doghouse for watching football all weekend or worse you forgot your wife’s anniversary or birthday, take your loved one here and she should forget all about your misunderstandings 🙂

A Hidden Paradise Day 3

Hidden Valley, Kitchener Ontario Canada

Here is a very cool part of Kitchener that is sort of “hidden” although it’s in the centre of the city. The design and architecture of the houses there is very impressive. For me it’s not the size of the homes but the attention to detail and design which is displayed throughout Hidden Valley.
